We did speed work today for our run. After warm up, we did 8 laps of 400 meters…a total of 2 miles with a rest between each lap. I am not sure how it will translate when I run straight through, but I shaved about a minute off my mile, which felt great. I don’t know how to explain it, but I can not wait until I am faster. There is something about running for 30 minutes and getting about half as far as someone else is. I was planning to swim afterwards, but was wiped.
On another note, we just hired a new nutritionist at work and I was talking to him about triathlon training and weight loss…he suggested that I start taking our company’s L-Carnatine. It is supposed to help metabolize fat into energy. Anyway, I started taking it today to see if it makes any difference in my energy levels.
