The Metabolife Triathlon Blog
So, I officially got my first triathlon training injury today. Unfortunately, it was nothing spectacular like trudging up a mountain on a bike and falling. It was slipping on the wet floor in the locker room. Luckily, I was in a swim suit, not naked, but as I am sure you can imagine…embarrassed, nonetheless. Stubbed toe (which looked worse than it was because of bleeding) and then broke the fall with my knee and hip. Should be nice and bruised by Saturday when we swim. ☺
I also have noticed an energy shift, which is nice. For the last few weeks, I have basically been asleep by 9:30PM. I had friends in town from London this week, so I had a lot more play and late nights, but have managed to keep with it. Minus the fall, spinning was awesome today. I am not sure what I can credit with that…being in week 6, L-Carnatine, adding a few more carbs to my diet, or something else. Regardless, it felt great. I swam after – still a big challenge – but packed in both.
